~~~ RAD CLASSES ~~~

Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is a unique, user-friendly, extensive ballet curriculum. Students are expected to take 2 classes each week to help develop a solid ballet foundation which will serve them for the rest of their life. The curriculum also encompasses developing an excellent posture, poise, etiquette, rhythm, folklore dance and free movement dance. For each RAD grade level, there is a dress code and additional skirt rental requirements. For Grades 1 & above, black character shoes will be necessary to purchase in our studio dance boutique. The student's hair is expected to be in a secure bun for class.

In December, we will be notifying parents about RAD examinations or presentation classes, which take place during the spring time. Candidates will be expected to participate in 2 RAD coachings, which will be like rehearsals for the examination with a pianist. For the mock exam, parents are allowed to observe.

There are additional fees for the examination process.

If you do not see a class listed that you would be interested in, please let us know. We are happy to take suggestions. Our faculty is very experienced and diverse in our dance skills. In general, for a class to be scheduled we need 4 people to adhere to the payment options listed above. Private and semi private lessons are also available for $55.00 and up. Please ask for information at our front desk.

For Girls who would like to go onto pointe, 3 ballet classes must be taken each week to develop and maintain the skill level required. There is a Monday / Wednesday program designed just for this purpose. An additional Grade 4 RAD level class is expected on Thursday.

If you are 16 years old and older, you will want to check out our adult classes as well. You are eligible for the 10 class card and the Adult Program.

~~~ ADULT CLASSES ~~~

No dress codes. Appropriate foot wear required for each class.

3 ways to pay for classes with Auto DRAFT:

1. 10 - class card for $130.00 valid for the same dance year which lasts 9 months: Aug - May. Cards can be carried over into the summer and new dance year if Okayed by Ms. Ilka. Registration Fees will be applicable for the transition into each new season. These cards may be used for any of our adult classes listed below at your convenience.
2. Monthly payment: generally 4 classes per month for $60.00 with Auto DRAFT, valid for that month only. You will save money if you are taking 3 hours of classes weekly. If you are taking 1 ½ hour classes on your 10 class card, you may finish out the card and then transfer to our monthly payment plan
3. Pay per class. Per 1 - hour class = $20.00 Per 1 ½ - hour class = $25.00
