Contributions and achievements:

• LBF sponsors concerts, educational outreach in public and private schools, and performances in community venues.

 

• LBF brings in professional guest artists from such organizations as the American Ballet Theater, the Julliard School, the Joffrey Ballet, the Columbia City Ballet, and the Orlando Ballet. Additionally LBF has enjoyed alliances with stars from Broadway, Radio City Music Hall and Las Vegas. These guests have all contributed through their teaching, choreography, and participation in LBF productions.

 

• LBF received a House Resolution from the Government of South Carolina in recognition of its accomplishments and was recognized as the “Most Outstanding School” by the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix ballet competition.

 

• In 2006, LDC senior members performed for U.S. troops and in a German dance festival while on tour in Europe

 

• LDC dancers have won numerous regional and national dance titles, including Junior Miss Dance of America 2007, as well as many scholarships to intensive training programs around the country.
