Goals:

1. Produce an annual dance season;

 

2. Provide outreach educational programs for the community, (lectures, demonstrations, and similar informative performances in public and private schools, clubs, libraries, nursing homes, etc.);

 

3. Provide the best dance education possible through professional faculty, master guest teachers and choreographers. Provide sponsorships for LDAA ballet dance students who exhibit talent, dedication, and financial need;

 

4. Provide touring opportunities for the dancers to participate in international, regional and local festivals and events such as Piccolo Spoleto, Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art, Treasures of the Tidelands, Long Bay Symphony and others;

 

5. Eventually produce a dance festival and establish a resident professional company;

 

6. Seek corporate and private contributions to cover production costs, including expenses for principal dancers and choreographers;

 

7. Provide funding for production expenses, administrative expenses, and public relations expenses including salaries, general operating costs, and professional and legal fees for Litchfield Ballet Foundation.
